My brother-in-law lives in Panama City Beach. He dodged the bullet, and I hope you did too.

Re: Nathan

All's well that ends well. I slept all night like a puppy in a pickup.

Re: Nathan

Good news!

Re: Nathan

[quote=Thanks Jack and Dagfoot for your well wishes.

Re: Nathan

Morning, dagfoot

It doesn't look good, huh. Milton will come ashore late tonight on the sixth-year anniversary of hurricane Michael. They predict Milton will be a Cat 3 when it crosses the Tampa Bay area. And that's what scares me. The night before Michael hit us, the weather forecast was for Michael to be  a Cat 3. No worries for me when I went to bed. I've gone through four hurricanes in my life. But when I awoke early the next morning and turned on the radio, the forecast has changed. Michael would come ashore as a big Cat.4 and I had an hour to get off the beach before they closed the bridge. But they were wrong again. Michael was a strong Cat 5.

And their lies my concern. My brother lives near Tampa, and he's decided to ride out the storm God only knows why.

Re: Nathan

Hope everything goes fine and it remains Cat3.

Natfoot--

It looks like your brother dodged a direct hit. But now, the rain and storm surge...You didn't say where you were and I understand why, I just hope you're safe...praying for you,

Hey dags,
I live in the Panhandle, so I'm thankful for that, and I need all the prayers I can get.
All my best to you.,

Thanks, Gacela. No problem here in the Florida panhandle, so far.

Re: Nathan

Nathan, it's been a couple of days since the big storm. Did you stay dry and avoid getting blown away? I hope you're doing okay. My granddaughter and her family came here to escape the chaos in Daytona Beach. They headed back home today, but I haven't heard if they've got their power back yet. My friend rode out the storm in Siesta Key for some reason, but she's all good, just dealing with a bit of debris in her yard.

No problems here. Knock on wood quick! There's a new tropical concern near the Yucatan Peninsula. I think Yucatan can be translated to Destination Florida.
I'm assuming you got a ton of rain from Helene. Good to hear everything is getting back to normal in Georgia.
Enjoy your fall weather, old friend.

Natfoot,

I am so glad you are okay. Praying for you is the least I can do. Good news all the way around.
