Topic: How do notifications work for new material?

Sol, can you tell us how notifications work when new material goes up? Ideally, my connections would be informed regardless of whether I'm posting a new chapter within an existing book, or the first chapter of a new book. One of my reviewers didn't see/get anything when I put up a new book.

Is that doable at present?

What type of notifications do you mean? At present, email notifications are not working. Your Connections will see each new chapter posted on their homepage, in the connections section.

That'll work until email notifications are available. I can also tweak a few people with private messages now and then to let them know I have something new up.

Any ETA on the email notifications?

What e-mail notifications? I've never gotten any since the site changed, and I understood that feature was gone. Has Sol changed his mind?

Jack, I received only one email notification for a review, the first and only on the new site. Was it a fluke? A test? Only Sol and his programmers can say.

Emails are going out sporadically for in-line reviews. They are not going out for regular reviews or if a connection posts content.

We have been working to upgrade the email system and you will start to see changes next week. Thanks for your patience.

I miss the emails also.  Sometimes the day just slips past me and I realize I haven't checked for new stuff all day.  By then, it's too late.
