I hurt my back unloading twenty, 700lb round bales by hand on Saturday. My medication wore off and I keep dreaming I'm writing and trying to incorporate back pain into my MC and it's not working. So I'm writing and erasing, writing and erasing until I wake up in frustration and pain...find a semi comfortable position, go to sleep and repeat.

Did you consider using a voice recorder temporarily until you feel better? You can choose whatever is the most comfortable position and still talk a manuscript into a recorder. When you feel better, you can type it. I used to move furniture --- I owned a small furniture store and did everything myself. I could unload a 20 foot trailer of flat packed, KD sofas and chairs in an hour. Now, I am lucky if I can pick up a sandwich without back pain! You pay now and you pay later when you do more than your back can handle.

I swear by my chiropractor. And I can't sleep sometimes because my damned characters keep having conversations in my dreams. Does this happen to anyone else on here?

It used to, but now I just write in a bottle full of sleeping pills and they all go to sleep and let me do the same. Take care. Vern
What is causing your back pain? That's the key to understanding the remedy. I've had multiple back problems so I've become a bit of an expert.
I don't know. I'm better now. Finally got to the chiropractor.
