The author has accomplished a unique and compelling method of making several stories a cohesive and captivating read. Twins lost to each other at birth, are reunited in the midst of a series of ritual murders. Both are good men, damaged men, because of their past, but are searching for a life that makes our world a better place and fulfills their inner longings for inner peace. Enter, strong, determined, and loving women who see the strife of these men and set out to make them better. One through her faith, the other through her competence in law enforcement and fierce love.
These characters are all set against the murders and evil in its purest form. The investigation is involved, but includes suspense, fear, and plenty of action, as they delve into the occult.
The author weaves all these elements around the crimes that have rocked the small town in Louisiana where they live. I was drawn to the threads of God's love, and the faithful determined love of a good woman running throughout the book. I read to get involved with characters and this author entangles you in her characters to an extent you feel part of the family. Highly recommended. I'm already into the Book II, Heartless.

Almost through with Heartless. I think I like it better than the first.

Wait until you read Broken. Hope you get it too and then Whatever It Takes to finish off the series. Thanks.
