Topic: Eye trouble

As the man who backed into the bologna slicer said, "I'm getting behind in my work". I have, at the moment, 17 new posts to review, and another 31 backed up for a single author. I regret that very much as I try very hard to get to posts as fast as I can.

My problem is that my eyes are acting funny - tearing and burning. The Optometrist at the base tells me it is related to stress and maybe my working in the back yard has put a bunch of pollen in them.

I've found that if I read more than one (possibly two) chapters, I can't go on until I rest for an hour or so. To this end, I apologize for not getting right to those backed-up chapters, poems, and stories.

But, I will get to them.

Have you tried to printing out? {Ink, paper $$ , yes} under 75W+ incandescent ? Reading computer screen desktop or tablet, even with glasses, is hard/unnatural  for eyes > 50 yrs old.

Re: Eye trouble

At this point in time, reading anything is hard to do.

Re: Eye trouble

For two years (2012-2013) Kaiser befuddled me with prescriptions for cataract surgeries, for both eyes, but could not / would not allow me to travel to Oahu to see a neuro-ophthalmologist to rule out CIDP related optic nerve axon damage. I was blind for two years, to a degree. Finally, after switching insurers (&%*(%!!!) I got appointments with knowledgeable doctors and proceeded with surgeries. I now see like a hawk, circle high above the Kaiser clinic, while waiting for a doctor/target to poop upon.

AND, foresight is better than no sight.

Take care.

Re: Eye trouble

Now if you were a flying pig, that experience would be soooo much more satisfying!

Re: Eye trouble

Tom, I feel your pain. I have almost everyone in this thread marked to read. I will get to you.

Re: Eye trouble

You go get them! When you can, that is. We're also busy and have all kinds of things that get in the way, so we're an understanding bunch and there is no need to apologise.

I hope you get better soon!

Re: Eye trouble

My eyes are once again giving me trouble. I have a lot of reading backed up, but I will get to it.

Re: Eye trouble

My eyes are dry this year, too.  My optometrist was handing artificial tears out from a basket.

Re: Eye trouble

That's part of my problem. I think it's just the season - and my age - that's getting to me. I can't read a screen for longer than a half hour before I get a headache. Trifocals are new, and in alignment, so it came be that. Lenscrafters rand a little check last week to make sure.

I'll get through the backlog, though.
