Re: etc

Yes, I have.

Re: etc

The new shred group... Whose function is clearly to punish one particular member would appear to be quite debilitating.  No one to see your posts... Can't see others... It'd be hard to survive long in there. Hard not to fade away...

Re: etc

What group is this?

Re: etc

That's literally and figuratively the name. "The Shred Group". A place where reviews can be meaner than anything I've ever come up with

Re: etc

My friend and I were discussing how each Sci Fi show has their own 'Jar Jar'.
For example Wesley is the Jar Jar of TNG and Neelix is the Jar Jar of Voyager.

Re: etc

Let's not forget the Ewoks. Apparently, even The Empire Strikes Back had its haters when it first came out. How can anyone not like a huge dose of Darth Vader and Yoda? Lucas originally worried people would say he put Kermit the Frog in Star Wars. I can't believe he had the guts to make him green.

Re: etc

Goodness. Re-reading Ender's Game and this is some kinda editing disaster. Dropped commas, spelling issues (minor). Wowzer in chapter 15 where two characters speak in the same paragraph.

I should nit these and mail the book to Tor, demanding a replacement copy

Re: etc

WordPerfect kept trying to capitalize Laundromat.
Looked it up.
Surprise, WP was right.

Re: etc

I should really see if anyone has ever written a simple wiki article explaining God Emperor of Dune. There were quite a few conversations in that book that went right over my head. Although I have a decent grounding in religion and politics, I never studied psychology, which seems to be a must for that book. It's my second favorite in the series after the original.

Re: etc

Are you finished with [T I a]? I noticed Mrs. [B l u e] is back.

Re: etc

No... I'm stuck is a better word. I flipped to a different project while I wait for my brain to solve it

Re: etc

You mean I'm not the only one that keeps happening to?

Re: etc

Naw, I get stuck all the time. Usually when I do, I muck around with [L o r r a i n e]'s story because it's just a senseless man-vs-alien free-for-all and can be written on autopilot. She's kind of my healing character when the others break my head.

I switched tracks though, because I'd sorta like to have J3nn@ hit print in December. That timeline is a little ambitious, but I think I can do it or come close to it

Re: etc

I've been stuck for hours, avoiding problems with my outline. I need a scene to fill in a gap, but the only obvious one is a funeral for Cardinal Vitale, but those usually (always?) take place at St. Peter's Basilica for cardinals. Even the disgraced Cardinal Law got a sendoff from Pope Francis there. However, I already have a scene planned for there as a special outing for the kids to go to Mass. I also have a funeral coming up involving Romano, so I don't want two of those either. I think I'll just go to bed and read. Maybe see how much I lost in the stock market today.
