G'day all!
Clearly - I'm new to this group. I retired in December and now I am hoping to do what I have wanted to do since I could string two words together: write, hopefully for money! History is my passion: not only am I a History major and a History teacher, but I'm a genealogist with a family worth writing about. But I want to do it as historical fiction - give my ancestors an actual life rather than statistics on a page. And some of them, if I get to the more recent ones, have to be written as fiction to save the feelings of some of their living relatives!
I have just completed a short writing course from University of Tasmania, with most of the work in the form of 250 word pieces. Nealry killed me! So I will probably either have a play with them and extend them - or just post them the way they are ....... The final assessment was 1000 words, so that might go in as is.
