Very interesting, thank you. Alas poetry is not mentioned, it very rarely is. I am guessing, because I am lazy and not bothered to research, but poetry is a very small audience genre.
Again, thanks for the notes very useful, I think I will now go and plan that book I have promising to write : )

Seriously, do people still say that? I haven't heard either of those expressions for the past twenty years, maybe even longer. Please, send my compatriots back to England they need to be re-booted into this century. But, only if they are English, of course.

Very true, and the really sad fact is that even when I ask my word document to write in English English it still tells me that what I learnt in my youth is now incorrect. But of course I refuse to agree with spellchecker.
Thank you for pointing out this issue, it can sound somewhat impolite to continually tell people that how you have spelt a word is actually correct, for English English

Sorry to say but the rules in paragraph 1 are incorrect. Mentions 100 words and then states EXACTLY 200 words!!! Some, most likely just me, may get something wrong.
