I don't know what I did - but my TNBW web screen is GINORMOUS. It's assaulting my eyes. Is there a way to make it back to a normal sized screen?

Thanks so much to all of the TALENTED authors who participated in my Love Poem Challenge. Congratulations to grand prize winner Celia Breslin, with honorable mention going to Olga Godim.

As a promotion - it got good traffic & more comments than usual. However, my themed author interviews have gotten more traffic & cost me nothing - so I'll probably only do something like this once in a blue moon to spice things up.

Made up words rock. I love crapastrophic & crapaclysm - must find a way to use those sometime soon! But I think craptastrophe fits best in the context of this particular novel. I'm going to say the consensus is... I'm right & my editor is not big_smile. Might be a first! Thanks!

I could use some input on a made up word for one of my character's use. I was thinking "crap-tastrophe" but my editor suggested "crapastrophe" -which works best, do you think?

With the old site, you could re-publish previously posted chapters so that your review buddies knew to check out your latest edits. I don't see that option & I don't know if my peops know when I've revamped a chapter.

Yeah - most of the articles I'm seeing about it say titles are ok, but otherwise permission is needed. Ugh. More rewriting to do.
Thanks!

Normally, I would have posted this Q in the ask the expert forum - but here goes...
I have a singer in a novel that occasionally sings a few words from famous songs (Beatles, etc). What's the rule on that? No lyrics at all unless you've got permission? 5 words or less is OK? Go for it & hope you don't get sued?? Anyone know?

OK - the old site had a forum specifically for posting info on writing contests, but I don't see one on the new site so I'm posting it here...
For February I’m hosting a poetry contest on my blog. A writing professor of mine once challenged my class to write a love poem in 25 words or less. So that’s my challenge … In addition to being a promo opp, poems receiving the most positive comments & web hits (from unique users) will win modest prizes- Paypal & bookstore gift certificates and, of course, bragging rights. If you’re interested, email me at audramiddle@yahoo.com by December 30th for more details.
