Why would I not be allowed access to a forum to which I subscribed?
I was notified by email that someone had replied.

I've had that happen to me also. I think it has something to do with the timing of the email you get and the actual posting of the comment in question in the thread. I tried again about five minutes later and was allowed access.

Are you able to access the rest of the forum besides the thread you are referring to? This sometimes happens when a thread is removed. I did remove one today so that could have been it.

I am able to access the rest of the forum.
When you remove a thread is the normal message we'd get this: You do not have permission to access this page?
The forum I subscribed to was 'A word of warning'.

That's the thread I deleted. That's the reason you can't access it. I guess I need to change the messaging for deleted threads.

It's good you remove it. It was a totally unfair word of warning from an author who couldn't stand some candid criticism, and could have hurt the new member's reputation a lot.
