Make America Germany Again. Wow! Never thought I’d see that in my lifetime. And nobody has the balls to stand up to the dictator.

It's terrifying right now. Once he has the military we're done. He's not even hiding it (3rd term posters) and the CARE act (voter suppression, especially women) and buying the post office (controlling mail in ballots) calling himself a king...

I don't know why the Democrats aren't sponsoring their own podcasts, interviewing fired employees (under anonymity if necessary).  every day running TikTok videos, FB ads, YouTube channels, non-stop interviews and stories about medical research being affected, etc. How effective would it be to interview actual researchers who can say exactly how their research will be affected? Or interview parents of child cancer victims, or adults whose clinical trials have been shut down, or seniors who can't get Meals on Wheels? Where are all these voices and why aren't they being heard?

Why aren't the Democrats shouting from the rooftops? Twitter posts aren't doing it. TALK TO THE PEOPLE AFFECTED AND SPREAD THEIR STORIES! Especially the MAGAts. Yes, they FAFOd, but I guessing many are converts now. Let them convert the faithful and open their eyes.

My driving force is outliving Trump and seeing our country on the road to healing, but nuclear damn war could be right around the corner. The worldwide impact this asshole is having is beyond dangerous. I don't even think a bullet would help because he's not in charge - Project 2025 is and we're screwed if we don't rise up. Doesn't look like that will happen.

Happy Saturday!

There are a number of YouTube channels dedicated to reporting on Trump and Musk, in particular,.

Search for Luke Beasley on YouTube. Also MeidasTouch, Legal AF, and Ring of Fire. I generally don't watch them at present because their coverage of Mango and President Musk usually makes my blood boil.

Re: The Day They Drove Miss Liberty Down

I turn 83 this year (July 5). I've just been informed I will be a great-grandfather in October. I'm fortunate I recently got new hearing aids through the VA for my service-caused hearing loss in both ears (Morse Intercept Operator for most of my navy career). My wife has received two artificial hips and an artificial knee, and I've had several operations including a quad bypass. Medicare paid for all of them, with a backup of my Tricare for Life.

Fortunately, Felon47 cannot mess with my Tricare insurance as it is paid from VOLUNTARY contributions from my navy retired pay. I paid exactly ZERO for all of those operations and complete doctor care for minor illnesses and whatnot. I go to the military hospital at Wright-Patterson AFB here in Dayton. My hearing aids cost $3500 per ear and I pay nothing. All our medications are free.

So, on the face of this one would think I'm living in the lap of luxury. Not so. My wife and I are now fearful that Felon47 will cut Social Security. This would devastate both she and I as my total yearly income is just over $27K. of this, I still pay taxes (which has been falsely reported that military retirees don't pay taxes). Fortunately, Ohio is one state that does not tax military retired pay, even though it is a red state.

On other matters, I see now that three persons of the MAGA stripe are now whipping out Nazi salutes. Disgraceful in the extreme. Makes me want to smack every one of them aside the head. I did FIVE tours in Vietnam fighting against just that sort of nonsense and I want no part of any more. We fought them once. We don't need to again.

Facebook and the other social media are just now realizing they can censor everyone's feeds as they wish, so to find this outlet is a great thing. I doubt anyone able to do any good railing against the establishment will see this venting, but it sure feels good.

I was a member of a couple of Facebook pages that were totally against trump, but those pages were shut down by Zuckerberg and his hounds, running scared because they were threatened by trump when Zuckerberg kicked him off FB after the January 6 insurrection. So now, like all the other rich people in this country, they are operating according to trump's rules, or they will be "arrested," and their businesses will "fail" according to trump's henchmen. (I do not and will not capitalize trump's name because there is nothing "proper" about him!). Anyway, you can come here, rant, and rave all you want. After discovering that Zuckerberg bit the bullet, I deleted my FB account. I am trying not to do business with anyone who supports him, but the one weakness I have right now is Amazon. I have to figure out a way to order things online from someone besides Amazon, which is more than convenient, but Bezos is a huge supporter of the orange clown.

Glad you're here, Bill. With your vast years of military experience, maybe you can keep me from derailing!  LOL! Because, at the moment, I'm ready to start a revolution and get this clown eliminated!! If David and I didn't have all the animals to find homes for, we'd sell the farm and move to Costa Rica with Mitch, or to Canada with Dirk. But we're too old to start over, so I hope a coronary event finds its way to the White House before I have to make that decision to leave the land I was born in.

Re: The Day They Drove Miss Liberty Down

It is a sorry state of affairs when the good citizens of any country begin thinking of moving to anywhere else purely due to political pressures and outright hooliganism. My ties are here. My father fought in WW2, not directly against aggressors, but monitoring weather conditions in Alaska and analyzing their physical contents to see if the Soviet Union had developed nuclear energy. He remained in service for a total of 31 years, retiring as a full colonel is what was now being called the Air Force. I was born in 1942, so I've never been a civilian. To my way of thinking, no right-minded military man could even think of signing up for a cup of Kool-Aide from Felon47. It runs against my grain every time I hear his comments that we are losers and incompetents. I worked damn hard for my twenty years, retired with honors, and I'll be damned if I'll just knuckle under. I'm here, and here I plan to stay. If I have to use the storm shelter, so be it. But, Felon47 isn't digging me out of my position. I think I can handle four years. If he ever gets that third term, then all bets are off.

Well said, Bill! That's powerful!
