I could use some input on a made up word for one of my character's use. I was thinking "crap-tastrophe" but my editor suggested "crapastrophe" -which works best, do you think?

'Craptastic' is an existing usage. 'Craptastrophe' branches off from it.
Oh, crap-olicious.
Spaz-tastic.
Crap-astrophic
Crap-aclysm I.E...one crapaclysm after another.
Is this enough ideas?

Made up words rock. I love crapastrophic & crapaclysm - must find a way to use those sometime soon! But I think craptastrophe fits best in the context of this particular novel. I'm going to say the consensus is... I'm right & my editor is not . Might be a first! Thanks!

I like yours better. I also think if you change one letter of your editor's you have a perfect word for the misuse of an apostrophe, such as:
It's head got stuck in the washing machine. (A "crapostrophe")
... LOL

Hmm. I'd prefer a more descriptive name. How about "feral apostrophe"? (If this becomes a big topic, we should enshrine it in its own group.)
But we're two votes for the 't' version: 'craptastrophe'.
I like the coinage.
A hyphen helps, Crapa-strophic. Now't rong with made up words, adds some zing to the munch.
