Hi everyone, I’m currently finishing my first manuscript and starting to think seriously about the editing stage. I’ve seen many writers recommend book editing services but I’m unsure if they’re truly necessary for first-time authors. Can careful self-editing and feedback from beta readers be enough, or does professional editing make a noticeable difference in quality and readability? I’m especially curious about experiences from writers who have already published. Did using book editing services significantly improve your final manuscript?
