I dont understand how it works. I have hand drawn maps of my world, but I need a tool to create one ot scale. It matters because I need to be accurate and realistic about travel time across certain distances in the story. I have looked at options online. Does anyone recommend one that will alow me to calculate the total area and distance to scale?

I have created a world centered around my main country. It is culturally diverse and based on a vast civilization building empire of the Near East including cultures ranging from Athens to Aexandria to Iran. It has 5 prefectures. I want to share with people about it and the people, the trade industries and routes, diplomatic relationships with other countries in this world.
