Thanks! Your comments really helped; I have been applying them as well as other reviewers' over the last few days.  Not sure if I can update the current story with revisions or need to repost the whole thing anew (I believe that's a question for the FAQ section) but will figure it out. onward and upward

Hey all, hope this is the right place to be posting?!  In any event, I'm really looking forward to being a part of this site!  I have other endeavors but I have been writing on and off for the last couple years.  Recently I have wanted to submit the stories to contests and just in general take it to the next level, but without much of a community to learn from and bounce stories and ideas off of (save my long-suffering girlfriend who has read more rambling stories than she cares to remember). Therefore I'm looking forward to reading all the work on here and vice versa.  Thanks!--Peter
