I’m still figuring out what I like to write. For now, I think it’s thrillers with science fiction elements and horror. I wrote whatever assignments where given to me throughout my education but I started writing because I wanted to three years ago. I have only done it consistently for about six months.
One of the things that I think will improve my writing is if I read more. My favorite author is Thomas Harris. I also like Philip K. Dick, Don DeLillo, and John Lindqvist. Although I’ve only read “A Brief History of Time”, I really enjoy Stephen Hawking’s writing. I may try to read more soon.
As I looked over my books to think about my favorite authors, I think I found a quirk about me. I don’t know if anyone else would find it fun but I like to be filled up with knowledge that I don’t need. I have books on physics, sociology, metaphysics, serial killers, and raising sons. I don’t have any children and I can’t remember why I bought that book. I enjoyed it, though. I guess another quirk is that I ramble.
