It's my first time back here in a long time, and this saddens me to hear. Lawrence was a staunch reviewer of mine, and I could always count on him for insightful knowledge and critique. From his comments, I gathered he led a pretty interesting life.

What sucks about being an author who writes long series and has had a lot of start/stop over the years is sometimes you feel guilty for being so slow. People who have a vested interest in your work can pass away before they have the chance to read the entire thing. Same with my grandmother, who passed away a couple years back. She always wanted me to send her a copy whenever I published a new book and I wish she could have read a completed series.

RIP Lawrence. I'm thinking when I get back to writing the Whims of War, a tribute character may be in order. That's the best way I can think of, as a writer, to honor his memory.

He must have left the site when he was diagnosed with the tumor. He and I had a writing relationship via phone and email also, but I didn't know why he suddenly stopped communication. His wife informed me today that he had passed away. I myself have had a rough few years with my daughter's suicide. Some of you are FB friends and probably know she passed. I'm not being really active reviewing on here right now because I'm busy editing for $$$, and I've now put out 14 novels of my own.

Hi Janet. Thanks for letting us know. That's very unfortunate (actually it sucks). He and I read each other's books for many years until he left the site. He was a really nice guy.
