A Balanced Diet

This nasty little story was specifically written for my friend and associate, Mr. Kirk Jolly (you may know him as CRIMSONKING). In a review of my current novel, Knotted Vines, Kirk remarked that that work was a serious deviation from my normal offerings. I knew that I must do something to renew my compatriot's faith in my ability to dish up something creepy. So I sat down and knocked this one out. Let me know your thoughts on the styling and the use of opposing perspectives and tenses. It's a little unconventional and goes against the grain of most of what I have been taught, but I just had to see what the product would look like when done. After all, I have always let my crayons run outside the lines. Kirk, I hope this redeems me and my ability to craft a horror story.
