Painting the Boy

Pieces of me, pieces of you...a character is born. This poem is about the character development thought process this writer went through with a recent novel. I started with an image of a boy. I've tried to 'paint the boy' to help him overcome challenges, where the final 'portrait' of the character will (hopefully)be viewed as a young man. The 'writer of men' refers to the writer and the young man his character becomes... (hey I knew what I meant:) LOL
