Thorny

I wrote this mini-memoir to enter in a contest for "flash" non-fiction (under 1,000 words.) It didn't place and this particular contest didn't offer feedback. I think the ending is probably pretty lame, so maybe some of you creative people can help me out and suggest a better resolution!
