The Pregnant Oyster

Written by: james129067

In the mid-nineteen-fifties, the narrator, James Cresscourt, is a big, handsome, virile private eye aged 32 waiting in his seventh-floor office to be gainfully employed when the gorgeous Cynthia walks in to engage his services. With the initial meeting, Cynthia is more than content and James is more than agreeably aroused. They agree to meet again to "sign a contract" that evening. Before that evening assignation, the private eye runs into a body - very dead - in the foyer of his office building. Cynthia could have something to do with it, though what James does not know. That evening,in May of 1958, with passports, airline tickets and the rest all ready, the eager private eye commits himself to travel the world starting the next morning as Cynthia's husband, but with certain limitations on his husbandly role - and rights. The story can only get more fascinating from here on - or at least the writer hopes so. Any considered or wild, off-the-cuff comments of any kind are welcome, whether favourable or not.
