Re-edited. - - - The source of my ramblings is a collection of letters written to family and friends in the UK after moving to Africa in 1980. - - - The letters, which I kept copies of, described our new way of life - a way of life quite inconceivable, even unbelievable, to the average British citizen in those days as satellite television did not then exist, and documentaries about distant lands were few a far between. - - - The fact that these exploits were experienced by an extremely naïve and quite mad English woman puts a different slant on what would normally be a simple biography.
