Deadline (Part 2 of 2)

Written by: Wes Guptill

For most writers, completing a novel can be a daunting task. And few authors can say that they have never missed a deadline. The very word 'deadline' can cause some people to break into a nervous sweat and develop an overwhelming desire to crawl into bed and hide under the covers. This is the story of one such writer. He's a man with more than a few problems in his life, the most significant of which is his inability to complete his 'breakout' novel. See what happens when his fiancee decides to take a strong course of action to get him to finish the book and make good on a promise. [This is the second part of the story. my apologies for the fact that it ran over the 5000 word limit. I am working on the revision so that it will fall within the limits. I hope to post the final version within the week. Thank you for your indulgence. Wes Guptill-]
