Cathy Who Walks with Ghosts (OOB #2)

Written by: new_england

This is second in a series ("Eureka, He Says" is #1) of related stories and vignettes centered in Old Orchard Beach, Maine's, seaside amusement park. This particular piece is a vignette of a character and isn't intended to have a short story's beginning, middle, and end. Vignettes are in that no-man's land between poetry and prose, and the collection will offer a composite of characters living "lives of quiet desperation" (as Thoreau so aptly put it). I'm looking for overall effect responses as well as line item critiques of what worked and what didn't. Thanks.
