Karen finds herself floating through life unhappy and discontent, though she can't figure out why. She has a job she loves and a boyfriend who adores her, but it's as though she has lost her ability to feel joy. When she meets a exciting man named Seth, he convinces her to buy a ticket to Ecuador and suddenly she feels as though she's awakened from a deep sleep.
