Careful What You Wish For

Ok, this story has been re-worked about eight times. I think I'm on the right track. It's about a mother who loves her son and wants happiness for him. She wants it enough to invoke a mysterious entity/magical thing to achieve that end, to an interesting and strange conclusion.It's about 9000 words so this is the first. I think fantasy is the right genre, heck I don't know. Please tell me what you think, tear me up, tear it up. I have a thick skin. I believe you only learn from mistakes.
