Two Other Victims

A college student has a summer job selling religious books door-to-door. He encounters an elderly couple in frail health who invite him to eat lunch. During his visit, the student learns of a life changing tragedy brought on by an accident caused by their grandson that has left the elderly couple without family, neighbors or friends. I would like feedback on the story as a whole, but especially if what the grandson did is clear.
