The Fraternity Pin

Written by: Marlinspike

The daughter of an old, wealthy family, Estelle, is forced by them to marry a man of her social standing, but not before the man she really loves has given her his fraternity pin (in 1908). Years later after her death, Estelle's daughter Diana finds the pin and its owner's letters. She makes contact with the daughter of the pin's donor, and they become friends, both realising that although their respective parents had long marriages, they were both unhappy. The pin, after three generations, winds up with the grandson of the man who first gave it.
