The Sayonara Heart

Chapter one of The Sayonara Heart introduces Ken Hamrick, a carrier of the Sayonara Heart, to the beginning of the end of his life, guided by the actions of his Sayonara Heart. In chapter one, he deals with a crushing realization he is all alone with the death of his mother during his senior year of high school. He spends the rest of his life trying to escape from being all alone, only to be cut off by the unknown actions of his heart. It is a ficticious story based on many of the experiences of the author through his 22 yers of U S Naval service. I think the major request I have on review of this chapter is would the reader be encouraged to want to read subsequent chapters. However, I will accept ALL reviews and critiques with an open mind.
