LOVE'S PRISONER

What better time to write one's first sonnet than when suffering from a broken heart? It had been years since I had read the Bard's lovely sonnets. A friend gave me a beautifully illustrated volume of Shakespeare's sonnets, and I fell in love with them all over again. This time around, I decided I wanted to write one. This is the first sonnet I wrote.
