TIME'S MISCHIEF

My favorite poems are Shakespeare's sonnets; I love the form, the meter, the culminating couplet that ties the first three verses together in a neat and tidy package. Although I think most of us think of a sonnet as a love poem, they can be about anything as long as the rules of writing a sonnet are followed. I wrote this sonnet shortly after I arrived at my father's home last January to care for him; he passed away in March.
