A Suburban Halloween

Jake Sinclair takes his little brother trick-or-treating and finally discovers love. This is my entry in the Halloween Haunted House competition, as well as my first attempt at horror. After all the helpful corrections and suggestions from reviewers, I've done some more work on it. Thanks to all of you. An interesting Halloween story goes along with the posting of this the first time. At 3 a.m. last Monday morning I posted this and about a second later there was a large explosion outside my window and all the lights went out. Turned out to be lightning, but now that I'm posting again, I have my trusty flashlight handy just in case. Isn't Halloween fun!
