THE BOOK OF JOY___An Epic Poem

Written by: kulanga

The BOOK OF JOY is a story about freedom and free choice. It's an ambitious attempt, by Caribbean /Canadian poet Kulanga B. Charles, to recreate the divine journey of life. Joy Divinity is the brain child of the author. She is a representation of the divine daughter of God, in the way that Jesus is portrayed as the son. This book seeks to re-awaken the feminine voice in a patriarchal driven world. It’s a timely book that whispers a clarion call to the world; a call that can redefine love, faith, hope, and charity, to those living a life of misery. The aim of the book is to bring awareness and consciousness recognition to the “Divine Feminine Aspects”. It encourages us to seek felicity by taking responsibility for the script we write, and the story we create in the living of our lives. The story is written in the first person, and is told on the scale of biblical proportions. It takes us on a journey of the human body, heart, mind and soul, from heaven to Earth, through the growing process of a fictional modern day human being named Joy. It reaches for conscious recognition and for the elevation of the Divine feminine spirit. Should you permit, The Book Of Joy will lead you through a step by step journey in the life of Joy Divinity. Using simple, colorful language, Joy Divinity paints a landscape of heaven and earth that is as rich and vibrant as a tropical paradise, reminiscent of and John Milton "Paradise lost". But the sub-text underscores the deplorable condition of woman’s existence in today’s world, condition as hellish in its struggles and miseries as Dante Alighieri's DIVINE COMEDY.
