Let there be light

This is a poem I wrote for one of my characters in my novel called The Guardian of Eden. A reviewer suggested that I submit it separately as a poem. I'm not a poet so any feedback to improve it is welcome. At this part in the novel, brother and sister Garrett and Eden have lived through physical abuse at the hand of their mother's former boyfriend. Now she is dating a photographer that seems to be a nice guy. Ten-year-old Eden writes this poem for him.
