Lady Slippers

I love to hike (my kids say I am obsessed at hiking) and one day, my daughter and I hiked at Bemidji State Park in Minnesota and I saw these beautiful flowers that are the Minnesota State flower and their delicate look made me think of a ballet dancer's shoes. I entered this poem in my college writing contest and it was also posted at "Poetry in the Park" in St Paul, Minnesota
