No Flowers

Several months ago, someone, I think Selah, but I’m not positive, put forth a challenge to write a story using a provided list of words, some being: spigot, balcony, simple, price, migrate, customary, obedient, screen, broom, gypsy, tripod, state, scale, familiar, dodge. Sorry, I neglected to keep the list and don’t remember all of them, but that’s the bulk. I believe it had to be less than 1500 words or something like that. Anyway, I took up that challenge.
