Three A.M.

Written by: medic38

It’s three in the morning in San Francisco. James and I are in the ambulance trying to catch a nap between calls. Thirty minutes of down time seems like a vacation. A call comes in for the suicide attempt. The vacation is over. The suicide guy turns out to be a little nutty. I have to do serious psychological gymnastics to keep up with him. In the end, the patient goes sideways and the restraints come out. It's just the night shift on a San Francisco ambulance.
