Summary:Witchblood: The Ux-blood Trilogy Book II picks up eighty-five years after the events in Earth Cell. Miles knows he is not human, but with memories only stretching back five years, he cannot remember who he is or where he's from. On an Earth devestated by an event known as the Collapse, he struggles to find his place. But torments both human and in his mind force him to wander the ruined landscape. When an expedition into a forest to clear away the deadly tree spiders threatening trade between two communities struggling to survive turns into utter disaster, Miles discovers two amazing truths about himself. The strange metal gauntlets on his arms respond to his thoughts, and he can fly. What follows for Miles is a journey of self-rediscovery amidst new friends and foes also not of this Earth. And as time winds down to a deadline that could mean the end of all life on Earth, Miles must chose between friends who might be foes, foes who might be friends, and the loss of everything that means anything to him: his memories. This first draft is a work in progress (aren't thay all?). I'm interested in any observations of all kinds, especially from people familiar with Earth Cell. While reading the first book would help orient the reader, I am trying to write this so that it is not necessary to have read the first book. I'd be interested to hear if I'm managing that very well.Chapters:

Summary:Alert Trekkers! If you are a Star Trek fan, particularly for “The Next Generation” (TNG) series, I think (hope) you will enjoy this novel. There are so many fanzine sites that cater to Star Trek stories, and so many permutations and bastardizations of the original concepts and premises of Gene Roddenberry’s vision, that some of you (Trekkers) may have become disillusioned with the genre. What this story (Fragile Demons) is NOT. It is not x-rated. It’s not a departure from the original concept, no new characters, nobody dies, no new love interests, no new relatives, no combinations of characters from several Star Trek shows, no flights of fantasy about alternative universes, or straying into realms that any died-in-the-wool TNG fan would tolerate. What you CAN expect is a solid story from the TNG genre that follows as closely as possible the TNG universe as provided by Paramount, the same familiar cast of characters, and even bad guys. The familiar relationships, science, sights, and sounds are the same as any of the TV series, the same Federation rules and laws, and the same exciting challenges. However, because this is a novel, you can also expect me to have wallowed a bit in descriptive narrative, as is my wont—but I dare say, not much more than an off-the-shelf TNG novel. I did take some creative license, but did not stray from those guidelines set by Paramount. Of course, I am counting on you, fellow Trekker, to provide me with corrective feed back to make this more enjoyable for other fans. The Battle to Save the Federation of Planets Captain Picard and crew is given a relatively simple mission of escorting two aliens, Centrusians, from a recently discovered planetary system, back to their home planet to ratify a charter with the Federation of Planets that legalizes their entry into the Federation of Planets as full members. As the aliens board the Enterprise, Counselor Troi senses some undefined evil about the two Centrusians and warns Captain Picard. However, the two aliens prove to everyone, except Troi, their intentions are good and there is no evil (or is there?). Enter the Romulans, who are also vying for an agreement with the Centrusians, because the Centrusians hold the key to the survival of the Federation of Planets, and the Romulans assisted by the Tal Shiar, know it—Picard does not. Troi continues to be besieged by something evil and no one else can corroborate her accusations nor understand her deterioration into near insanity. Picard must unravel Troi’s mystery, and is ultimately faced with saving the Federation of Planets from extinction at the hand of the Romulan Star Empire. The Centrusians are the key to the survival, but the battle to save the Federation is grim as Picard becomes embroiled with the Centrusians over an attack of their religion, alleged military action taken against them, and being charged with breaking the Prime Directive. Please let me know if you think I know my stuff, if you enjoyed the story and think it is "original," and of course please lambaste me with feedback good or bad.Chapters:

Summary:This story came to me in a dream. The dream was about tall grass and wind and strange things moving around. When I woke up I had this idea for a science fiction story. It has a little bit of a twist: in this story the humans are the monsters and the aliens are innocent creatures. It is about prejudice and xenophobia and sexual repression leading to perversity. Any and all comments are welcome.Chapters:

Summary:Well... Here's the long awaited (hah) second half of my post apocalyptic story Ashen. The main character sets out on his journey across the desolate planet as an immortal. Let me know what you think of his thoughts on being immortal and his choices. I wrote this half and the first half quite some time apart so I'm not sure how well they'll fit. Have fun :)Chapters:
![]() | TENACITY GENE | Doc Battey | Novel | 2 | n/a | Jan 20, 2012
Summary:Looking for content editing. Think I've found all typos, awkward grammer, poor syntax, etc. Would love to hear feedback on the overall story. Does it keep your interest? Are the cliffhangers nail-biting enough? Did the surprise twist ending make you laugh with irony oe smirk with delight at the big scam aspect? Some parts are very technical, I mean how interesting is the blow-by-blow start-up of a long-dormant nuclear reactor, even if its likely to blow up and pollute most of the Florida aquifer?Chapters:

FIND THE HOLES, WHAT TO CUT, AND WHAT TO ADD, THAT'S WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR.Chapters:

Summary:This is a very short (flash) piece I worked on in a writing class over the summer. I'm really not sure if it's a 'story' or a 'vignette' so I'd be interested in thoughts on that question as well as other general comments. Also is it too 'cutesy' to live?Chapters:
