This the second in the Draconis saga. It is a mixture of fantasy, family saga, and historical fiction. This book is an endeavor that proved to be a great challenge. It is two stories in one. The lust for adventure leads Rennin O’Rourke to read the memoirs of his ancestor and namesake as he shares parallel exploits. His quest brings him to his wife, the California gold fields, close encounters with death, a murder charge, The War Between the States, and ultimately back to a mythical land where only exceptional people may go. Rennin meets Rebekah Sinclair, and the two of them embark on a lifetime of love and adventure as both are constantly compelled to return to a mythical place they have only read about. Draconis calls them home. Any an all comments welcome. Of all the stories I've written, my daughter says this is her favorite. See if you agree.

The subject matter was required by a publisher. These are things I would like to have said about me on my 80th birthday. Following recent news regarding asteroids, I was intrigued with today’s announcement that Earth was temporarily visited by a 3rd radiation belt of trapped particles. John Grunsfeld, NASA’s associate administrator for science, said: "The fantastic new capabilities and advances in technology in the Van Allen Probes have allowed scientists to see in unprecedented detail how the radiation belts are populated with charged particles and will provide insight on what causes them to change, and how these processes affect the upper reaches of Earth’s atmosphere."
