|Josepha; A Dull Life||Genevieve Fosa||Novel||3||n/a||Sep 11, 2014|
Summary:There is a lot in this first chapter that I probably will not include in the final version. I simply sat down and started writing in order to get the juices flowing. Even so, I would very much enjoy getting some feedback on this. The story involves paranormal activity and time travel, and I have been writing it in order to entertain myself, so it should be fun to read. Thank you in advance for you input. Genevieve
|Unraveled - working title||SquarePeg||Novel||3||n/a||Sep 10, 2014|
Summary:ROUGH start to the 3rd (& final) book in my fantasy series. Input keeps me going. Especially looking for ideas on ways to expand the story.

Rangwar and his troops are gathered outside the city, and the magical defenses that have long protected the realm are crumbling. And there's still the question of what happened to their father and grandfather, and all the residents of their home town of Hamstead.
|The World Of Phyries||Jube||Novel||0||n/a||Sep 5, 2014|
Summary:As a recent member to TNBW site, this will be my very first offering for review (fingers crossed). This is a work of fantasy where a world was created in imitation of Earth. Different races and supernatural creatures have traveled to this world in search of a new beginning. I hope you will enjoy following Talmas and his friends as they will grow to find fate has chosen them for a different path than those around them. The feedback I am interested in is: 1. content - did this introductory chapter seem interesting? 2. Suggestions on any different word or sentences that work better are welcome. 3. Did it make sense or is there anything that you felt seemed confusing as the reader? I guess the most important feedback to me is - Does it seem like I can put together a decent story or should I pack it in? Thank you for your feedback and be sure to email me if you have anything you would like me to review in return.
|Dictates of Faith||amy s||Novel||1||n/a||Sep 4, 2014|
Summary:Jaylene never asked to be a leader in her church; she wanted to live a life of service. Then the Lance chose her. The symbol of her Order was more than just a cavalry weapon; it was imbued with the essence of the goddess, Behira. Carrying it meant that Jaylene could call her Order to war. After touching the Lance, Jaylene became a general and she hated it. However, the rank carried a privilege that no one else enjoyed. She was allowed to choose her own priorities, looking for trouble and finding solutions. For a while, she helped a lot of people with the help of a group of friends who called themselves the "Wolves". Then a disaster happened and Jaylene died. Sometimes the second-life is more important than the first. In the world of Behira, miracles are only a breath away and hope is all that keeps the world from ending. Thanks for any time you can spend on this! Amy

Threads of information begin to appear as Airen, a noblewoman and her priestess friend Jaylene run to help another Wolf named Kha. How else am I going to improve unless I know what needs to improve? Feel free to whack away. I look forward to your comments and critique. So you're aware, these chapters are in a loose format until I start to stitch the story together. Sorry about the non-linear format. This will improve as more of the story appears. Hit me!
|First Transcendation of Time rewrite||Sheriff Norm||Novel||0||n/a||Aug 18, 2014|
Summary:Danny is a famous scientists whose discovered a math to delete the infinities associated with black holes. But now he has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and believes he is from another universe where stars, comets and the spirits of stars are alive like us here on Earth. He has a homeless friend, Willy, who tolerates his belief and who is helping Danny write a book about these worlds looking for the big bucks the book might bring. He has a nutty psychiatrist who is strangely obsessed with the book and turns out to have a subversive reason to read it. He meets a beautiful girl who he is convinced is from these other universes like him, but she is unaware of who she is. The heart of the story is Danny's desperate effort to make the beautiful girl aware of who she is and thus save her from being doomed to Nothingness, a horrible place where Danny believes she will force her to exactly opposite of the way she so wants to be, forever. Danny has telepathic connections with these beings from other universes. and the story at times enters these universes through Danny's connection. This is quantum fiction meaning it is the conglomeration of the stories that makes up the real story, each individual story but one route the story takes, with each succeeding story casting new lights on the previous stories until, at last, the root story, the story that ignited all the stories is finally revealed.
|The Immortal's Ransom||TELawrence||Novel||1||n/a||Aug 13, 2014|

Follow George on a desperate journey when the watch falls from his possession and the word gets darker and colder each day. If he doesn't find it within eight days, life on Earth is forever gone. For your reference, according to the U.S Bureau of Standards and Measurements, $1.00 in 1836 would be equal to $33.00 today. That might might help you to make sense of the money amounts mentioned throughout the book.
|The Sorcerer's Progress, Book 2: Earth By Fire||njc||Novel||1||n/a||Aug 9, 2014|
Summary:The second volume of The Sorcerer's Progress. Although listed as Fantasy, I prefer to think of this as a story set in a fantasy world. // I have a lot of work to do yet back in Book 1, but the first chapter is rattling around in my mind and I wanted to get it out. // The title is provisional. I picked it a while ago, but because things have moved around, I might need to change it.
|Conversations with Bogue||sonny||Novel||1||n/a||Aug 9, 2014|

|A Sense of Sacrifice (Book III of The Law of Eight)||Nicholas Andrews||Novel||3||n/a||Aug 1, 2014|
Nerris and Len-Ahl continue to traverse the Faery Footpath. But all is not well. Qabala and her minions have stolen the Dagger of Paral, leaving them with no knowledge on how to find the next marker. The only solution is to chase the Yagol queen down, but how to do that when they keep getting sidetracked?
The quest for the Elemental Stone continues in the third part of this epic series. Finding that stone is the only way to stop Queen Qabala and Eversor from dominating existence itself, if they can get to it first. But as they near their journey's end, Nerris must confront the very ghosts of his past and find some way to live with them in the present before they destroy his fellowship for good.
|The Sorcerer's Progress, Book 1: Children and Beasts||njc||Novel||2||n/a||Aug 1, 2014|
Summary:More of the story's themes are going to come out as I continue to post, so I'll give you the full (provisional) titles so far: The Sorcerer's Progress/Account I: Original Sin/Section 1: Ceremony of Innocence/Book 1: Children and Beasts. Sorry to confuse all who've reviewed it so far. The repub's and new chapters forthcoming will bring in Mellaen's activities while her daughter is in training. Massive action will still wait a while. This story is (still) in its early project stage. I'm working on the outline of a story that should WELL exceed 200,000 words. As I go, I write episodes and sections to see how they work--and to see if I can actually handle the material. So these "chapters" are episodes, connected or disconnected. I'll try to give you enough background to follow along with things. Although it's under the fantasy genre, I prefer to call it a story set in a fantasy world. It's quasi-medieval; sorcery is a surrogate for medicine and technology. This isn't the magic of Harry Potter; it's the manipulation of Elemental Power present "naturally." I quote the word because there is a creation myth involved. I'm not sure how far into the story it will be presented.
|Ghost of a Chance (Ghost Dance vol. 2)||Don_P_Chambers||Novel||2||n/a||Jul 15, 2014|
Summary:The sequel to "Ghost Dance", which was workshopped here last year. If you haven't read that, some parts of this may be confusing, although I try to include a few asides to explain some of the important plot points of the first book.
This is a first draft, so all comments, suggestions, and criticisms are welcome.
Please note -I have changed the ending of the first book from earlier drafts - Lydia and other members of Amara's family survive, and Ghost only destroys one star, not eight. He hides the other eight missiles, just in case.
