Summary:This story is about a woman in her mid twenties discovering herself and dealing with issues from her childhood. It's also a story of murder, deceit, love, hate, etc. Tiamat Ashtad, or Tash as she is called, is a half angel who spent her childhood in foster homes. She survived child abuse in many forms and grew into a strong young woman. As she faces her past and discovers her niche in life her future is in doubt. I'm looking for feedback on everything. Don't worry about being gentle I've got thick skin. I do however ask that you respect myself and my characters. I'm here to learn and grow. :)Chapters:

![]() | The Queen & The Soldier | Matthew Berg | Novel | 0 | n/a | May 9, 2008
Summary:These are the first few chapters of what I hope will become a very long work of serial epic fantasy. (I aspire to being favorably compared with Robert Jordan, Stephen R. Donaldson, and George R.R. Martin.) I'll accept any and all feedback at this point. But I'm most specifically looking for feedback on the pacing of the novel, whether the action is too quiet (if you will) and really, what you believe is needed (if anything) to carry the momentum of the novel such that folks are waiting eagerly in line for the second book in the series.Chapters:
![]() | The Inkling | aryanne | Novel | 2 | n/a | May 8, 2008

But of course, she doesn't know... (OH NO! ARYANNE HAS BEEN HIT WTH ANOTHER IDEA WITHOUT FINISHING THE OTHER TWO NOVELS SHE'S SO CRAZY ABOUT! DON'T WORRY, FOLKS - I'M STILL WORKING ON THOSE TWO. ![]() | The Stars of Evellon | aryanne | Novel | 3 | n/a | May 6, 2008
Summary:***Newly started series! I haven't abandoned Silverstone, thankfully, but this is something a friend and I planned a long time ago, and I've decided to start it up again, though by myself. I THINK my friend has lost interest in writing, sadly. Please give me the best feedback you can.*** Wren is an orphan boy living with his old grandfather, peacefully and happily, when he is faced by a whole series of disasters much too harsh for just a young child of twelve. There is no choice for him but to face the road ahead, but the only problem is, how?Chapters:
![]() | A Quaint Device | Ben Lebeaux | Novel | 1 | n/a | May 1, 2008
Summary:Jason knows his Shakespeare. He can recite every word of every play, every scrap of history, every syllable of criticism that’s referenced the Bard of Avon. But Jason has just discovered a world within our own, where monsters and murderers hunt for a powerful treasure missing for the last four hundred years. This is more-or-less finished piece. I'm looking for reactions as well as plot holes, inconsistencies, and anything else that can polish this into a better story.Chapters:
![]() | Silverstone | aryanne | Novel | 1 | n/a | Apr 29, 2008
Summary:Falco is an orphan of fifteen, living in a little Hut Sam made a long, long time ago, with seven other people, all poor. They live across the old bridge from Lorville, the main village of Lorale, an eastern realm of Men in Maren. But for the past years, the whole land has been cast over with shadow, unknown except for the fact that it undoubtedly comes from the northern evil realm of Shador. Word is that a fearful power is rising again, and so everyone living in Maren trembles at the thought of a disasterous future. No longer do the creatures venture out of their homes, and most races have long since hidden away. But of course, none of that mattered much to Falco and his 'family' in the past, since they had each other and were thankful enough for that. But famine has struck Lorale once again after many years, and in desperate need for money, Falco ventures out into the village to find some work. He does, luckily (or so he thinks at first), but the man he is to work for is extremely strange and mysterious, and frighteningly ghastly-looking. But there's no other way he can turn to to earn money fast, and besides, he can't help feel proud of himself for finding a place to work so quickly. But after this first encounter with a stranger he's never seen before, more odd things begin to happen. Secrets are uncovered, even within his circle of family. But it's all just the beginning... ALL AND ANY FEEDBACK IS WELCOME. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME TO THE END, AND GIVE SPECIFIC REVIEWS. THANK YOU, AND NO CHAPTER-JUMPING!Chapters:

After the usual thrills, if you got bored enough, and happened to be two movie fanatic brothers, you might just try to become a superhero. -- -- This is a 100k word superhero/comedy adventure and is the first in a 4 book series. ![]() | The Gnome in the Tapestry | dunns_creek | Novel | 3 | n/a | Apr 25, 2008
Summary:I have the body of a goblin-kin, but even more shocking, is that I chose to become this monster. I was a soldier who believed in honor and discipline, but those two concepts are not even understood in the society I must now embrace. Two images from my past haunt my present: my betrothed, Altherie Evenal, and the gnome in my tapestry. I understand why Altherie is constantly in my thoughts, but the gnome from my tapestry is an enigma. Although he was only a wall hanging, he seems as real as the woman I love. Could there be a connection between my obsession with his image and my current predicament? Or is he the key to my release, my salvation from the body of the monster I now inhabit?Chapters:

![]() | The Statue of Bandallion | brian s. lancaster | Novel | 9 | n/a | Apr 20, 2008
Summary:PART ONE: THE SUNFLOWER STONE***Every five hundred cycles, harvest world champions, one planter (male) and one picker (female) are chosen and plucked from the harvest world. According to tradition, they shall be honoured and revered as high royalty by all tribes of the third kingdom before commencing their procession to the valley of Khazurn on the first moon. There on the onyx redemption thrones on the night of the third moon, the rebirth ritual shall be performed, when the planter and picker shall meld together and restore equilibrium and order to the union of worlds. ***So it is written.*** Except that six hundred and thirty eight cycles have now passed since the last ritual and the laws that rule the elements are beginning to fail. The Lore of Invocation, the lore to bring champions from the harvest world is lost, the assembly of summoning, an academy of the finest sorcerer minds in the land, was disbanded over two hundred cycles ago, disbanded and exiled. So a collective of the best available magicians is hastily assembled at the Aulderly Institute of Monastic Studies from all corners of the kingdom, some of them fledgling apprentices to aged inept tutors, some little more than daughters of woodland witches, some from dark corners considered dangerous by the old assembly where ancient animosities are not forgotten. But in any world, desperate times call for desperate measures. And out of the six and a half billion people currently populating earth, the harvest world, Simon Banner is not one of the chosen. He is nevertheless drawn to the kingdom through a series of seemingly unconnected events. In the meantime, the hastily chosen Jessica and Daniel may not have been as carefully chosen as tradition might otherwise have dictated. She is a disillusioned Valium-popping housewife and he is a gay, cynical teacher. Not exactly the ideal partnership for a melding. But then, is prophecy still prophecy if nobody but the long-dead prophet knows what the outcome ought to be? Chapters:
