Chapters Author Info Summary: I wrote this a number of years ago. My wife is from Bakersfield, Califirnia where fireflies are only a rumor or a myth. When I drug her to St. Louis, she was in awe of the "lightning bugs". I started telling her about my childhood experiences with those little fly by night critters. That evening I sat down an wrote this. That was in late 1997. I wasn't sure if this should be regarded as a memoir or not, so I put it in the "other" genre. Any thoughts about that? I am posting this with the hope that you might enjoy it and offer any comments about ways to make it more engaging or flow more smoothly. I want it to be a casual read that leaves the reader with slight smile or a warm feeling. I am not an educated writer. I am open to any and all comments and suggestions. Thanks! Chapters:
