Summary:I wrote this poem about eight years ago when pondering the subject of survival. The body is mortal, but what survives is the reputation. But how many people are conscious of this fact? Does the poem make you aware of the fluid nature of life and time?Chapters: |

Summary:As the new year begins, many, parroting warnings of Carl Sagan and Einstein, argue that we need to get over ourselves. Imagine who else may be thinking the same.

Summary:I decided to be brave and post the lyrics to a song I recently wrote. I know the timing is off and the words don’t always flow the way I’d like them to flow. But, I’m too close to it and can’t see what or where or how I can make the changes it needs to make it work. So, I’m hoping you can give me some ideas. All comments are welcome.
It is done in a ballad form. I hear Willie Nelson’s voice in my head when I sing it. Hopefully, that will give you an idea of the “sound” and flow I’m looking for. It is a story of theft and deception and then victory and redemption.

Summary:This the first half of a short story I've been working on about an old man who kidnaps the terminally ill to prolong his own life.
It's about 1500 words so far and is just something weird I was experimenting with. I'm not really sure if the rhyming aspect of it works... So I'd like to ask whoever reads it to provide feedback on that particular part of it, and of course, on the story itself.
Hope you enjoy :)Chapters: |

Summary:The Year of the Monkey sizzles every headline on the planet as Ho Chi Minh's Tet Offensive tears through the consciousness of America. While the battle for the country rages up and down the countryside at places like Hue, Con Thien, Lang Vei, Khe Sahn, and the Rockpile, two Marines use their daring to create a special reconnaissance force to change the future of their Corps. With long-range reconnaissance critical at this crucial juncture of the war, American units are sustaining devastating losses amongst their elite LRRP teams. South Vietnam is a country being ripped apart by the ambitions of its neighbors and the corruptive nature of its leaders; a place where ethnic hatred fans the flames of war, this time with the security of the United States of America as the ultimate threat. Caught up in the rising storm of a country in dangerous transition, Team Deuce is the eyes and ears of a Corps of Marines being drawn inexorably into a war it cannot winChapters: |

Summary:My writing penchant is humour, so this one is unusual for me, but had to be written. Whether I should have posted it on tNBW is another matter.
I find the saturation promotional advertising of up-coming tv programs to be extremely irritating. One in particular that was doing the rounds really p'd me off. As I lay in bed one night trying to sleep I got quite incensed. I could not sleep until I had grabbed my laptop computer and wrote down what was bounding around inside my skull.
This is the result.Chapters: |

Summary:
This is about my struggle to survive as Patti Anne and not lose her. I have tried to write this but get too emotional and afraid I have not evolve as a writer enough to do her justice.
Feedback is welcome as emotions play into our professionalism,
at least I know it does mine. I am here to learn. Will be rewriting almost everything I have done in weeks to come for review on progress.Chapters: |
