Summary:This novel attempts to provide readers with key principles necessary to begin a healthy lifestyle, regardless of their condition. It’s in the form of a novel because it's hoped this format will capture and retain the reader’s interest. The author personally hates 'how to' books. The early chapters introduce simplified basic principles of weight loss and effective tools anyone can use. The latter chapters address the spectrum of various individuals ranging from the athlete to the Heart attack/stroke victim. Chapters: |

Reposted by request.
The current status of Static Mayhem is that I have yet to find an agent to represent it. I haven't given up on it, but I am currently focusing my energy on my next novel, Caprice. I am still happy to take critique on either book.
Meanwhile, I have started posting the beginning of a sequel to Static Mayhem. I hope to get the bulk of a first draft written this year, but Caprice took me six years to write, so I don't know how realistic that is. We'll see.

Two forces drive Harrison Cody to trek from New England to Chicago on foot: a bewildering pixie named Glimmer, and Claudia, the voice on the radio who may be the only other human still alive.
Static Mayhem, a mainstream novel that weaves elements of Fairy Tale, Science Fiction and Horror into a contemporary setting, tells his story. Harrison's journey reveals a North America whose human population has been replaced by dinosaurs, demons and dragons, and whose infrastructure has been reduced to a smattering of buildings holding artifacts from Earth's past and future. For all the surreal obstacles of his environment, his greatest challenge proves to be the care of two young survivors, separately orphaned and in clear need of a parent. Their eventual arrival in Chicago is punctuated by his arrest, and after clearing himself and establishing a life in this new cradle of civilization, he finds that his unanswered questions pale in importance to his new family.
