Being in a new place without a friend is a scary situation for everyone. Sometimes, when making friends, the right person isn’t around for you. People might not like the same things as you, you might not get along, the person might just like to be alone, and, even sometimes, people just don’t have a reason for not wanting to be friends. It’s okay to not make friends with the first people you meet. You just need to have patience to find the right friend for you! Join Squiggle the Tiggle in his quest to find a friend. The star shape eyed, sparkly nosed, and pudgy-bodied Tiggle must wiggle his way through sand, water, bubbles and mud in his search through the land of Pibnee. Hope is to get readers who hesitate reviewing poetry to take a leap in faith as there is no wrong way to review if you say how a work 'feels' 'provokes' or if it doesn't. Still good feedback and can help enrich one's own writing. Poetry is not my favorite genre. I don't even own a book of poetry except for my mothers. Only poetry I read in on this site. I write it as do not feel confident in other genres. I too am learning to try though. To stretch oneself is to grow and stay flexible.

The first three chapters have been revised and rearranged for the strongest start competition. The novel is posted in its entirety so you may read at your leisure (DISABLED CHAPTERS WILL BE ENABLED FOR ANY NEW REVIEWERS GOING BEYOND CHAPTER 3). Old reviews will not always match up with the chapter that it is attached to. This is in essence a memoir of my life in an orphanage, but I use composite characters and am not sure it qualifies as "memoir" for the contest. I will let the judges decide that. I hope this final go through will make it ready to publish, so any comments whatsoever will be appreciated. Especially interested in the new flow pattern. Opinions? Thanks for your help and advice.
