Chapters Author Info Summary: This story is how a 14yo boy deals with moving from a Chicago suburb to small southern Illinois town. He has to deal with being the new kid in a town of 800 and be a freshman in high school, a double whammy. On top of this the only person he connects with is a neighbor girl who seems to be obsessed about the death of an Old Man. In an effort to develop some sort of relationship with this girl the boy assists the girl in her investigations. The story opens with a prologue that recounts a Civil War era event that occurred near the southern Illinois town. Chapters:
