Premise: Love midst danger can be found anywhere in the universe. I began this novel about two years ago. I have completed about two-thirds of it. It is about a man, John Smith, a widower who found an empress who won him in a murder trial. Man has been living in moon orbit space,in space habitats, for 200 years after leaving a contaminated and toxic earth. The habitats are getting old and machinery is wearing out without capacity for permanent repair. Some believe earth has rejuvinated and want to return. The council wants to maintain status quo but time is running out. The Prologue takes place after the novel ends when man has returned to earth. The following novel explains how it all took place.

Two childhood friends reunite to discover there is something buried in the woods behind their houses. Once uncovered, it will lead them through a journey of space and time. This book asks the big questions, and attempts to answer some of them. It its heart, this book is about sceince, and contains none of that hollywood pseudo-science, rather more like Aurthur C. Clark type of science. It also has some religious aspects as one of the characters is ahteist and the other is Christian. This plays off interesting in the end when both of them find out they were wrong about some things, and kind of have to meet in the middle.
