Summary:This grew out of a response in a writing class, where someone made fun of another's work, the criticism was that her aliens were too human. It began as a joke, but classmates urged me to finish it as going over the top with a love affair between a human and an intelligent plant species.Chapters: |
 | Kassian Chronicles: Galactic Double Play | Rick Mann | Novel | Science Fiction | 1 | n/a | Dec 16, 2007 |
Summary:When I posted six chapters of a novelette, entitled, "Double Take," I received quite a lot of reviews and suggestions. The suggestions were to: Flesh out the characters more, tell us more about the planet and background, add more action, more about Bearach (spelled Baarach in the original), and make it into a novel. I have listened and this is the real beginning. I will revise and insert the original somewhere in the novel. I know where I want to go with it and I will write it as I post it. The main character will still be Ryon, whom you will find was an extraordinary baby. Your former feedback is much appreciated. I hope I have incorporated most of your suggestions in the story.Chapters: |

Summary:I have been planning of this as a novel for several years and am returning to it in hopes I can make it work as a novel. The premise is: A thousand colonists have landed on a planet populated by what they think are animals but actually are sientient and intelligent beings, somewhat resembling squirrels, who are telepathic. They have found out that some will return to earth to report their find. This is not accepted by the planetary inhabitants. I am submitting this as a short story until I decide what to do with it.Chapters: |
