The story is loosely based on the lives of my great-grandparents, and celebrates the lives of Florida Crackers. After introducing my granparents, the story goes real time in 1864 and follows the lives of this pioneer family who rise from the ashes of the Civil War in a wilderness that bears a harvest of life and wealth.
