Summary:Rev. Martin Luther King's struggle for civil rights was a bold political initiative. Politicians didn't like it, wished he would go away, but he wouldn't. He was right. He put his life on the line. He forced the Kennedy administration to face up to the reality of segregation. The evil of segregation not only in the south but up north too. Rev. Ralph Roy went to jail with Rev. King for disobeying the law. He was a white man who had a Methodist church in Harlem. I meet him every July 4 at a picnic in Ware, Mass. Summary:I do not want this to be corny so be very hard on me. This is a theme I tend to write a lot on and I truly don't know why. I am haunted by the pain our vets have suffered down through all the wars. I have witnessed the destruction of families and friends trying to understand what they cannot nor will they ever be able to.

Regard your neighbor’s gain as your own gain, and your neighbor’s loss as your own loss. TAOISM
