Summary:Kat Ruzinowski moves from her hometown of Chicago to accept a painter-in-residency slot at the Indianapolis Arts Lofts, and to be closer to her long-term friend, Jeanie. The problem is, Jeanie's psychiatric career and family keep her as distant from Kat as when they lived in separate cities.
It's been thirteen years since their artsy college band, but when Jeanie suggests the two of them play guitars again, Kat jumps at the chance to re-connect. But she's not the only one interested in joining Jeanie's basement jam. An Indy socialite wants to sing lead, and a talented yet troubled guitarist also signs on.
Kat's career and love life intertwine with the band while relationships with friends outside the group suffer. Some of the mysterious behavior of her art friends clears up at a gallery opening featuring her work—an evening in which all of her dreams seem in reach.
However, will a disastrous debut of Female Trouble mean a finale for her and Jeanie's friendship, her skyrocketing art career, and romance; or will Kat dare to accept the truth: that life and relationships involve change?

 | Painting The Summer (first edit) | payge turner | Novel | Commercial Fiction | 7 | n/a | Oct 20, 2008 |
Summary:This is my first edit so I still need all the advice you can give me. Do the prose flow as well as they can or is there still any excess wording? Is there anything you weren't clear about and that you'd like me to explain further? Are the characters well-drawn and believable, and does their dialogue sound natural? Give it to me straight and thank you so much for all the feedback you've given me so far. It's been invaluable. Chapters: |

Summary:Cooking is an art to me. Like painting I use foods, flavors, spices and seasonings like paints a swath of this and a stripe of that it will come out as a beautifully finished piece if I stay true to my senses. The flavors come up in the mouth like color comes in the eyes without touching a pan or canvas. Chapters: |
 | ECHOSIS | Odin Roark | Novel | Literary Fiction | 15 | n/a | Nov 18, 2006 |
Summary:“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Pablo Picasso----
Believing WE ARE ALL CREATIVE, Echosis explores the consequences of a world where the threat of a global strike by artists of all disciplines brings the brokers of art, entertainment and the media to their knees.
Reminiscent, in part, of NETWORK and its plea for a public to speak out, in anger if necessary, Echosis chronicles the growth of NYC sculptor, Derek Turrel, and the obstacles he encounters in trying to hold onto his integrity as he realizes success and influence via his new paradigm for Art and Entertainment appreciation. He proffers his beliefs to a world gone amuck with media's continued contempt for individuality and its determination to "give the people what they want" instead of affording them a creative opportunity for learning "what they need."
